  • Profile Data: Religion, caste, sect, education, occupation, location, preferences, interests, family information.
  • Media: Three profile photos you upload for matrimonial matching.
  • Payment Data: Payment method, transaction ID (via Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the platform (logins, profile views, messages).

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Service Delivery: To create and manage your profile, facilitate introductions, and process payments.
  • Verification: To manually verify profile authenticity and prevent fraud.
  • Matching: To identify and introduce compatible matches via WhatsApp.
  • Communication: To send you account notifications, match introductions, and service updates.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
  • Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

4. Data Security

  • All personal data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL.
  • Profile photos are stored in encrypted Supabase Storage with private access controls.
  • Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms and never stored in plaintext.
  • Access to your data is restricted to authorized TheShaadiClub staff only.
  • We regularly audit our infrastructure for security vulnerabilities.
  • No single entity has unlimited access to your data; access is role-based and logged.

5. Your Photos Are Never Publicly Visible

  • Your photos are stored securely and never displayed on public websites or search engines.
  • Photos are shown ONLY to verified individuals we explicitly introduce to you.
  • You can see which individuals viewed your profile.
  • You can request photo removal or replacement at any time.
  • If you delete your account, all photos are permanently removed within 7 days.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

  • Matched Individuals: When we introduce you to a match, we share your profile and photos with that verified user only.
  • Payment Processors: Stripe receives minimal data needed to process payments (no full card details stored by us).
  • Admin Team: Our team can access profiles for verification, dispute resolution, and matching purposes.
  • Third Parties: We do NOT share your data with marketers, advertisers, or unauthorized third parties.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Active profiles are retained as long as your account is active.
  • If you request account deletion, all personal data is removed within 7 days.
  • Payment records are retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations.
  • We may retain anonymized data for research and analytics purposes.

8. Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights:

  • Access: You can download a copy of all your personal data anytime.
  • Correction: You can edit any information in your profile.
  • Deletion: You can request complete account deletion, which removes all personal data within 7 days.
  • Portability: You can request your data in a portable format (CSV).
  • Objection: You can opt out of non-essential communications.

9. International Data Transfer

Your data may be processed and stored in the United States (where Supabase is hosted). By using TheShaadiClub, you consent to this transfer. We ensure adequate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.

  • We use cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences.
  • Essential cookies are required for the platform to function; you cannot opt out.
  • Analytics cookies help us improve the service; you can opt out in your settings.
  • We do not use third-party tracking (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.) for user matching.

11. Children's Privacy

TheShaadiClub is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover a minor's account, it will be deleted immediately.

For users in the European Union, TheShaadiClub complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • We process data only with your explicit consent.
  • You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data.
